Settings Page

The settings page of Secondary Title allows you to customize and configure how the plugin works. While most functions on Secondary Title's plugin page are supposed to be self-explaining, some of them could use a couple of additional sentences.

General Settings

Auto show

When switched to "On", this option will merge the default post title with the secondary title based on the "Title format".

Title format

Replaces the default title with the given format. Use %title% for the main title and %secondary_title% for the secondary title. Note: This only applies to titles if "Auto show" is set to "On".

Display Rules

Only show in main post

Only displays the secondary title if the post is a main post and not within a widget etc.

Post types

Only displays the secondary title if post among the selected post types. Select none for all.

Post IDs

Only uses the secondary title if post is among the entered post IDs. Use commas to separate multiple IDs. Leave empty to deactivate this limitation.

Miscellaneous Settings

Include in search

Makes the secondary title searchable.

Input field

Determines the position of the secondary title input field on add/edit post pages within the admin area.

Column position

Specifies the position of the secondary title in regard to the primary title on post overview pages within the admin area. Only applies when using the Classic Editor plugin.
